Thank you

I don't really know how to start this other than to just say it: thank you. In the words of Jay-Z, you could’ve been anywhere in the world, and you chose to be with us. So, genuinely, from the bottom of my heart, thank you.

Saturday night was everything I hoped it would be and more. Seeing something I've poured so much time, money, sweat, and honestly a little bit of sanity into finally land in people's hands — and watching their faces when they took that first sip — is something I'm not going to forget.

To my friends and family who showed

up, who believed in this project before there was anything to believe in, who listened to me talk about bourbon more than any reasonable person should have to … thank you. You have no idea what your support has meant to me throughout this whole journey. None of this happens without you.

To DMV Whisky community, you all are amazing. The enthusiasm, the encouragement, and the genuine love for this craft that you bring every single day is a big part of why I kept pushing when things got hard. Seeing familiar usernames turn into real faces on Saturday night was one of the highlights of the whole experience. Thank you for being part of this.

To Baltimore Spirits Company (Max, Eli, Whitney, Greg, Anna, and the whole BSC team), I can't thank you enough. You didn't just give us a room to stand in. You helped make this brand a reality. Your support, your hospitality, and your belief in what we were building meant more than I can properly put into words. If you haven't been to Baltimore Spirits Company, please go. They are the real deal, and they deserve every bit of your support.

Most importantly, though is my wife Jennifer. She has supported me throughout. As I was overwhelmed and over-stressed, especially over the last couple of months dealing with graphic designers on label edits and fixes to the point where — as of Tuesday(!) — we didn’t even know if we were going to have this event. She was the one who put up with me and kept me focused. She always raises an eyebrow when I tell her the next business expense, but never wavers in her support. She’s the love of my life, and I wouldn’t be here without her.

If you came out Saturday night or you picked up a bottle of Scattered Castles Bourbon, please take a few minutes to write a review. It doesn't have to be long. Just honest. I hope you love it, but if you hate it, say it. Reviews are one of the most powerful ways to help a small, independent craft spirit get noticed, and every single one makes a real difference.

This is just the beginning for Scattered Castles Craft Spirits, and I couldn't ask for a better group of people to be along for the ride.

Thank you,

Chris
